France has long held the crown as the leading exporter of skincare, maintaining its position as the number one beauty exporter globally. But in a historic shift, 2024 saw South Korea overtake France as the top cosmetics exporter to the United States, with $1.71 billion in exports compared to France’s $1.26 billion. Korea’s surge has been consistent. In 2024, the country exported US $10.3 billion worth of cosmetics, surpassing Germany to rank third globally. Growth in Korean beauty exports far outpaced competitors, with a 20.3% year-on-year increase compared to France’s 6.3% and the US’s 1.1%.

That momentum was on full display at the 22nd Edition of Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas, which concluded on July 17, 2025, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The event gathered hundreds of beauty brands from around the world, showcasing everything from cutting-edge skincare technologies to the latest in hair and wellness innovations.
