Best Things I Ate at Jean-Georges Steakhouse at ARIA

Las Vegas has thousands of restaurants and hundreds of those are steakhouses competing for keen carnivores and fine diners. With so many choices, I get asked all the time where do I go for the ultimate steak-lovers experience when visiting #sincity.

Jean-Georges Steakhouse at ARIA is paradise for steak enthusiasts. My luxurious meal was memorable and glorious. Here are my absolute favorites!

The Shellfish Platter is a perfect and refreshing start to a meaty meal. The platter comes with King crab, lobster, gulf shrimp, oysters, and clams.

The Grilled Octopus is one of their popular starters. The smoky flavor of the grilled octopus paired with the savory paprika sauce is fusion heaven. The Asian influence is unmistakable.

High-end steak enthusiasts will be delighted to know Jean-Georges Steakhouse is one of the very few restaurants actually have A5 Certified Kobe Beef. The melt-in-your-mouth beef is flown in from Hyōgo Prefecture, Kobe City, Japan. If there’s nothing else on the menu, I would come here just for this. The Kobe beef is must for all Japanese steak lovers. Of course, it definitely comes with a significant price tag. But it’s offered in 3 sizes: 3, 6, and 9 oz.

There are many restaurants offering signature Surf and Turf choices. In my opinion, many pale in comparison to Jean-Georges’ Broiled Tristan Lobster Tail and Bone-in Ribeye. The lobster was succulent and sweet and perfectly cooked, and I mean perfect! The ribeye was outstanding and well-seasoned, and definitely not too salty (like some high-end competitors on the strip).

The marbling on the ribeye was fantastic. If you are ordering the A5 Kobe Beef, eat the ribeye first. The Kobe steak is insanely tender like butter that you don’t want to compare the ribeye to it. I would come back to Jean-Georges for their perfect Surf and Turf even if the A5 isn’t on the menu.

After over-indulging on the steaks, I’m glad I enjoyed the Osetra Caviar on the Tasting Menu afterwards. The light and plump caviar with the lemon gelee and crème fraiche almost tasted like desserts.

Speaking of desserts, make sure you try the 24K Gold Bar. It’s their pièce de résistance.

I’m hungry again. Until the next meal, foodies!
